The pipeline

A colleague that does the research, writing, and follow-up.

You stay in charge. Every step produces inspectable artifacts. Sources are attached, approvals are required, and the agent only gets better when you correct it.

Reader - understand the seller first

Paste any company URL. The Reader ingests the site and public signals. It builds a BuyerPersona focused on who actually buys from you - titles, pains, trigger events, disqualifiers, and the exact language they use. Not lookalikes.

This is the opposite of most tools. We model your customers, not companies that resemble you.

Prospect - find real, contactable people

Using approved geography and your persona segments, the prospector runs the verified waterfall: source → ordered finders → outage-failover verifiers. Every lead records full provenance, a contactability verdict, and is cached tenant-scoped only.

Only contactable, verified people make it through. Geography and consent are enforced early.

EU/EEA/UK/CH residents are filtered before any paid enrichment. Unknown geography is quarantined at launch. Charge-on-success: only successful lookups are cached.

Score - explain the fit

Each lead receives a 0–100 fit score against the specific buyer segment, plus plain-English reasoning and matched signals - hiring, funding, job changes. No black-box columns.

Reasoning cites the actual title, pain or trigger match. Generic “good fit” is rejected by the model.

Research & Write - every fact is sourced

High-fit leads trigger the Researcher, which produces SourcedClaims backed by real evidence. The Writer composes emails where every factual sentence must cite one. The pure validateTouch guardrail rejects unsourced factual content.

Blocked drafts cannot be approved. The guardrail runs before any human sees the email.

Citations render as footnotes for reviewers. The same guardrail applies to signal-triggered drafts.

Copilot approval & Send

Drafts land in an ApprovalBatch. You review, edit, or reject. Approved touches pass the Gatekeeper: CAN-SPAM footer, RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe, dispatch-time suppression re-check, daily budgets, circuit breaker. Sent from warmed managed domains, or your own OAuth lane.

Nothing auto-sends. Human approval is the default.

Autopilot is deliberately off by default. Most teams stay in copilot mode.

Inbox → Meeting → Outcome

Replies arrive via webhooks, classified by intent. Unsubscribes suppress globally. The Conversationalist drafts replies for actionable intents with real booking links. Booked meetings record a scheduled start and an accepted RSVP.

Only meetings that actually happened and were not cancelled count toward the outcome fee.

$25 fee only on qualified meetings - append-only usage ledger, capped at 20% of subscription subtotal. Fully disputable with compensating reversal rows.

The objects

BuyerPersona, ApprovalBatch, Meeting.

The four things the pipeline produces, defined.

What is a BuyerPersona in Rainmaker?

BuyerPersona is a model of who actually buys from you, structured as pains, triggers, and disqualifiers. It is not a company-size or title filter, and it is not a lookalike embedding that returns companies resembling your existing customers. It is built from your URL and the discovery conversation, and it is used to score every lead before a draft is written.

What is the ApprovalBatch?

Before any email sends, Rainmaker assembles a batch of sourced drafts for your review. You approve, edit, or reject each draft. Nothing sends until a human approves. This is the default state of the system, not an option you turn on.

Does Rainmaker work from my own inbox?

Rainmaker sends from a managed sending address or from a mailbox you connect. Replies and the full thread are visible in the Rainmaker inbox, and you can connect your own inbox to manage replies and track the conversation through to a booked meeting.

What happens after a meeting is booked?

Rainmaker tracks the meeting as a first-class outcome object: booked, RSVP-accepted, not cancelled, start time passed. This is what triggers the outcome fee and what feeds into your campaign analytics. The meeting outcome is verified against the calendar, not estimated from email opens or clicks.
