Accountable outbound, defined term by term

The vocabulary behind Rainmaker - the pipeline stages, the guardrail, and the pricing terms - each defined in one place.

Accountable AI outbound

Cold outreach where an AI agent cites a verifiable source for every factual claim and blocks any draft it cannot source before sending, with a human approving each batch. The category Rainmaker was built to define.

ApprovalBatch

The former name for a ReviewBatch: a group of drafts held for a human to approve or edit before any of them send.

BuyerPersona

The model of who actually buys from you, built from your website and real signals rather than lookalike similarity. It drives who Rainmaker looks for.

Circuit breaker

An automatic stop that pauses sending when bounce or complaint rates cross a safe threshold, protecting your domain reputation before damage compounds.

Contacted lead

A person Rainmaker has actually emailed. Pricing is based on contacted leads - 500 are included in the $79 base plan - not on leads merely found.

Conversationalist

The component that drafts replies to inbound responses, classifying the reply's intent and proposing a next step such as a booking link.

Gatekeeper

The dispatch check every touch passes before it leaves: CAN-SPAM compliance, unsubscribe suppression, and a re-check that the send is still allowed.

No source, no send

Rainmaker's core rule: a draft with an unsourced factual claim is blocked before a human sees it. Enforced in code, not offered as a setting.

Prospector

The stage that finds and verifies contactable people who match your BuyerPersona, running a sourcing waterfall and recording provenance at each step.

Qualified meeting

A meeting booked through Rainmaker that was accepted by the prospect, was not cancelled, and whose scheduled start time has passed. The $25 outcome fee triggers only on these terms.

Reader

The first stage of the pipeline: it reads your company URL and builds the BuyerPersona - who buys, their pains, and the trigger events that matter.

Researcher

The stage that gathers the evidence behind each lead, producing the SourcedClaims the Writer is allowed to cite.

ReviewBatch

A group of drafts presented together for a human to approve or edit before any of them send. Approval is the default; autopilot is a choice you make.

Score (0-100)

The fit score every lead receives, with plain-English reasoning and the matched signals - hiring, funding, job changes - shown behind it.

SourcedClaim

A fact plus the live source that backs it. The Writer may only assert a fact by citing a SourcedClaim; anything else is blocked.

validateTouch guardrail

The code-level check that blocks any touch containing an uncited factual sentence or a dangling citation. It is where no-source-no-send is actually enforced.

Waterfall (prospecting)

An ordered chain of data sources and verifiers Rainmaker runs to find and confirm a contactable lead, recording where each fact came from.

Writer

The stage that composes the cold-email sequence, where every factual sentence must cite a SourcedClaim or be blocked by the guardrail.
