Rainmaker FAQ

The product, the pricing, domain safety, and who it is for - answered plainly. Every figure here matches the live pricing page and the shipped guardrail.

The product

What is Rainmaker?

Rainmaker is an AI outbound agent for B2B teams. Paste your company URL and it builds a buyer persona, finds and scores matching leads, writes cold emails where every factual claim cites a real source, and books qualified meetings - stopping only when it cannot source a claim. A human approves each batch.

What does no source, no send mean?

Every factual sentence in a Rainmaker email must link to a verifiable source before it can send. If the agent cannot source a claim, the draft is blocked at the drafting stage and waits for you. The check is enforced in code and cannot be turned off.

Does a human approve emails before they send?

Yes, by default. Rainmaker drafts in batches you review and release; approval is the default and autopilot is a choice. You see the drafts, the citations, and the fit reasoning before anything goes out.

How does Rainmaker find leads?

It builds a buyer persona from your site and real signals - not lookalike embeddings - then runs a sourcing waterfall to find and verify contactable people who match, scoring each 0-100 with plain-English reasons.

What is a SourcedClaim?

The unit of evidence behind a sentence: a fact plus the live source that backs it. The writer may only assert a fact by citing a SourcedClaim, and the guardrail blocks any sentence that does not.

Can I edit the drafts?

Yes. Every draft is yours to edit before you approve it; the sourcing gate simply guarantees the starting point is grounded.

Does Rainmaker do LinkedIn?

It is email-first. LinkedIn touches can be drafted in Rainmaker with a human performing the send; it does not run your LinkedIn account through automation proxies.

How fast can I start?

Paste a URL and you can see sourced leads and drafts the same day. The 14-day trial needs no credit card.

Pricing

How much does Rainmaker cost?

$79 per month base, which includes 500 contacted leads and unlimited users. Additional contacted leads are 5 cents each above 500. Qualified meetings are $25 each, capped at 20% of your subscription.

What counts as a qualified meeting?

A meeting booked through Rainmaker outreach that was accepted by the prospect, was not cancelled, and whose scheduled start time has passed. The $25 fee triggers on those terms only.

Is there a free trial?

Yes - 14 days, no credit card required. The trial clock starts from your first send, not from signup.

Are there per-seat fees?

No. The $79 base includes unlimited users.

What is the 20% cap?

The total qualified-meeting fees in a period are capped at 20% of your subscription charges, so the outcome fee can never dominate your bill.

Do you charge for leads that can't be found?

You are charged for contacted leads - people Rainmaker actually emails. Sourcing that returns nothing does not consume your allotment the way a contacted lead does.

Is pricing public?

Yes, in full, on the pricing page - and the public price example is checked against our billing code by an automated test.

Domain safety and compliance

Will Rainmaker burn my domain?

It is built to protect the sender first: fewer, sourced, human-approved emails from your own inbox or a managed domain, with bounce and complaint circuit breakers, and never from a shared domain.

Is AI cold email legal under GDPR?

B2B outreach can be lawful under legitimate interest with the right safeguards. Rainmaker enforces CAN-SPAM and GDPR handling, a global opt-out registry, and per-recipient verification, and a DPA is available.

Do you honor unsubscribes?

Yes. Opt-outs are recorded in a global registry that suppresses the address across the workspace, and the system stops sending to anyone who has replied.

Where does Rainmaker send from?

From your own connected inbox or a managed domain you control - never from a shared Rainmaker domain.

Is Rainmaker SOC 2 certified?

A SOC 2 audit is on the roadmap. A Data Processing Agreement is available today.

What happens when a prospect replies?

Replies are classified by intent and outreach to that person stops. When the intent is a meeting, Rainmaker drafts a reply with your booking link.

Is Rainmaker right for me

Who is Rainmaker for?

Founders running their own outbound, first sales hires scaling pipeline at seed-to-Series-A teams, and agencies running outbound for multiple clients.

Who is it not for?

Teams that want pure volume sends with no approval gate, or enterprises that need SOC 2 on day one - the audit is on the roadmap, not done.

How is it different from other AI SDR tools?

Three differences enforced in code: every factual sentence links to a real source or the draft is blocked, not flagged; a human approves before anything sends; and you pay $25 only on a qualified meeting, capped at 20%.
