How Rainmaker referral rewards work

Share your referral link. When a friend you refer pays their first bill, you each get $10 off your next one. Here is where to find your link and follow your rewards.

Every workspace has its own referral link. When a new workspace signs up with it and pays its first bill, both workspaces get $10 off their next bill. Everyone in the workspace can see the page.

1. Open Referral Rewards

In the sidebar, click Referral Rewards (under System). The top of the page has your link and, beside it, how a referral works.

2. Share your link

Click Copy link and paste it wherever you like, or click Share in message to send a ready-written message from your device's share menu (or copy it, where there is no share menu). The friend has to sign up through your link, as a new workspace.

3. Know when a referral counts

How it works has the three stages:

  1. Share your link.
  2. They start a free trial: 14 days, no card. They show up on the page as soon as they sign up.
  3. They pay their first bill: you each get $10 off your next bill. Use it within 30 days.

A trial or a bill of $0 does not count; their first real payment does.

4. Follow your friends and your credit

Once someone has signed up, Friends shows how many signed up and how many paid their first bill, and how many rewards you have earned in the last 30 days, out of 10. Your credit shows what is available now, when it expires, and what has been used on your bills. Credit comes off your next bill automatically; there is nothing to claim.

5. Check each referral

Your referrals lists everyone who signed up with your link. A referral shows as "Referral #" and a number until they pay; then the company name appears. The status tells you where each one stands, for example On trial - waiting for first bill, Credited - expires with a date, or Used on your bill of a given date.

6. Know the rules

  • $10 each. You and your friend each get $10 when they pay their first bill.
  • Use it within 30 days. Any part of the credit not used by then is removed.
  • Comes off your next bill, including the $79 monthly plan.
  • Up to 10 rewards every 30 days. Referrals past that still count as signed up, without credit.
  • New workspaces only. A workspace can be referred once, and you can't refer your own.
